Fire Fighter Kimberly Mattson, October 09

October 8th, the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company visited the Lil Ducklings Daycare. The students were given a fire safety presentation and a tour of the Rescue truck. Fire Chief Patrick Taylor, Assistant Fire Marshall Ryan Lewis, CFF CJ Kronmuller, and Firefighter Kim Mattson were in attendance.

No Caption One Overturned on the Bypass

Thorndale Fire Company, October 07

Around 17:30 hours Station 38, Engine 76 and MICU 146 were dispatched to the westbound Route 30 bypass for a vehicle accident. All units responded shortly after dispatch and was advised by the 911 center of one vehicle overturned and the location updated putting accident to the east of original location. Fire Prevention at Copeland Run Academy

Fire Prevention Week started off with a visit to Copeland Run Academy.
Career Firefighters Kyle Vaughn, Justin Richway, and CJ Kronmuller gave a tour of the Rescue truck. CFF Kronmuller donned his fire gear and SCBA to show the students what firefighters wear and to not be afraid.

Firefighter Kim Mattson provided education about fire safety and the importance of having smoke detectors.

Over the last month, Wednesday evening drill nights have focused on different aspects of vehicle rescue utilizing the different equipment carried on Rescue 38.
