International Firefighters Day Donation to Thorndale Firefighters

May 4th is International Firefighters Day and to help celebrate a few businesses teamed up to make a surprising donation to the firefighters of the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company. A team of staff from Giant Food Stores, Hint Fruit Infused Water, and Big Boize BBQ Sauce stopped by to present their donation on Tuesday May 4th, which included everything you could possibly need to have a stellar BBQ.

At 19:57 hours Station 38 and numerous mutual aid companies were alerted to assist the Downingtown Fire Department with a Building Fire in the 500 Block of Trestle Place. Chester County Communication Center advised units that the alarm company had visible fire via thermal cameras and had heavy smoke in the building.
