On Wednesday March 22nd just after 3:00pm Station 38 was dispatched to assist stations 45 & 46 with a reported house fire in the 100 block of Brandywine Ave in Downingtown Borough.

Chief 45 arrived to find a 2- story twin with fire showing in Charlie/Delta corner.

Engine 38 arrived as the 4th due engine stretching a hand line to the direct exposure building checking for possible fire extension. After investigation, no fire extension was found, and Thorndale's crews was ordered to assisted with overhaul in the initial fire building. Traffic 38 assisted with closing Brandywine Avenue at Lancaster Ave.

The fire was placed under control and Thorndale’s crew was released from the scene shortly before 4:30pm.
