May 24, 2021

Shortly after 4am, Station 38 along with numerous surrounding mutual aide companies were alerted to the 300 Block of Andrew Circle in the Hillside section of Caln Township for a Townhome fire. Multiple calls were made to Chester County Fire Radio stating there were flames from the front door and that the residents might be trapped. Deputy 37 (Modena FC) was first on location and advised of a working fire in two of the units. With that report, Deputy 38 (D. Taylor) requested the working fire dispatch. Deputy 38 arrived on scene and established Andrew Circle command. Engine 38 (Captain P. Taylor) arrived and operated as the second due engine and primary fire attack in one of the adjacent buildings.

With spreading fire conditions and the need for additional manpower, a 2nd and 3rd alarm was requested. The fire was brought under control in just over an hour by crews. Companies from Chester and Lancaster Counties that were called to assist operated on the incident for about 3 hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Chester County Fire Marshall’s office.

Luckily there were no firefighter or civilian injuries, and several pets were rescued. Our thoughts are with those that were affected by this fire. Photos from numerous sources including IrishEyez Photography, SMac Emergency Services Photography and Chesco fire rescue Photography
