While operating at Caln Municipal Park for Caln Township's Annual National Night Out, Station 38 was alerted as part of the first alarm structure fire assignment to the 300 Block of Walnut Street to assist the Coatesville Fire Department with a possible structure fire. Coatesville units who were just around the corner for Coatesville's National Night Out, arrived on the scene reporting a two-story single-family dwelling, end of the row with the porch on fire. A water supply was established from the hydrant located at the intersection of the incident scene at Third Avenue and Walnut Street. Squad 38 arrived as third due engine with the crew assisting the Coatesville firefighters with extinguishment and overhaul. With the fire being quickly brought under control, Command held the assignment to Station 41, Engine 76-2 and Station 38 units. Station 38 crews assisted with pulling the porch ceiling and lattice around the porch to check for any further extension.
