For several years Police Departments across the country have participated in National Night Out which is held on the 1st Tuesday of August every year. National Night out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. Thorndale Fire Company and Caln Township Firefighters happily participated in many facets this year. In addition to our regular static apparatus display, patrons were able to utilize the new fire extinguisher prop recently approved by Caln Township Board of Commissioners. A vehicle extrication demonstration was completed and new this year, added a medical helicopter for all to see.
