Station 38 was alerted to the rear of a home in the 3200 block of Tyning Lane for a Brush fire. Chief 38 went enroute and was advised of a lawnmower on fire that sparked brush. With that report, Chief 38 asked for an additional Engine Company to assist. Chief 38 arrived on the scene confirming the report of a lawn mower engulfed with a brush fire extending down the hill. Rescue 38 arrived and deployed an 1.75" attack line to begin to extinguish the lawn mower. Engine 76-2 arrived and deployed the forestry line from Rescue 38 to extinguish the brush fire that was traveling down the hill. An additional 1.75 attack line was pulled to assist with soaking the areas of the burning brush. Crews raked the unburned areas and continued to soak the area preventing reignition. Crews operated for just under an hour before clearing the scene.
