At 11:14 hours the company was dispatched as part of the first alarm assignment to the 300 block of S. First Avenue to assist the Coatesville Fire Department with a building fire. Ladder 41 arrived on the scene reporting fire showing from division two on three structures in the middle of the row. Chief 43 arrived and assumed First Avenue Command. Engine 38 arrived with a crew of four on the scene and were directed to division two of the Bravo structure to investigate for further extension and to extinguish the fire that was showing in the part of the building. Upon completing that assignment, the crew was then redirected to Division two of the fire building for overhaul and extinguishment. Command requested the second alarm assignment to the scene for manpower as the fire was starting to adjacent units due to the high winds. Rescue 38 and Utility 38-1 arrived on the scene and the crew was directed to the delta exposure building the check for further extension by opening the ceiling and walls. Command declared the fire under control and the crew from Engine 38 assisted in repacking the supply line on Engine 37. Once completed with the task, Station 38 apparatus were released from the scene after operating for about two hours.
