November 22, 2016

On Tuesday November 22 Station 38 along with Ladder 41 and Ambulance 41 were dispatched to Bluff Rd in Caln for the reported chimney fire. The notes indicated dark black smoke coming from the chimney.

FM39 (Stackhouse) was the first on scene and reported they did have a significant amount of black smoke coming from the chimney and the residents were out of the house. Engine 38 arrived and pulled past the house and set up at the hydrant in case a water supply was needed. Ladder 41 pulled directly in front of the residence and set up the aerial to access the roof so they could check for any obstructions in the chimney. Crews were able to remove some small obstructions that were causing the black smoke and the inside of the residence was checked and clear. Crews cleaned up the apparatus and were clear in approx. 20 minutes.

Station 38 ran a total of 10 calls today between Fire Responses and QRS Responses.

Units: Engine 38

Mutual Aid: Ladder 41, Ambulance 41
