On Wednesday May 2nd, members from the fire company traveled to South Coatesville to attend the Spring, Fire 1 Graduation at the Chester County Public Safety Training Center. One of our recent junior fireman that has been with the fire company since he was 14, Eric Stewart, graduated into full firefighter status.

Two Alarm Fire on Paul Nelms Dr

At 18:27 on Friday May 4th the company was dispatched to Paul Nelms Drive for a reported house fire. Engine 38’s crew arrived first to find heavy fire showing from the front of the house. Assistant 38 Taylor requested for the 2nd alarm quickly upon arrival to add more manpower to the incident. At 5:22am on April 20th the volunteers of Thorndale Fire Company got an early wake up call for a reported car on fire in the parking lot of Faddis Concrete in the 3500blk of Kings Highway. Initial reports were of an SUV on fire in the lot unoccupied.

Engine Response to Working House Fire in West Bradford

On Monday afternoon just before 12:30 the tones went off for a reported house fire in West Bradford on the 1400blk of Carolina Place. Stations 39 (West Bradford), 38 (Thorndale), 49 (East Brandywine) and 45&46 (Downingtown) were on the initial dispatch. The Chester County 911 Center was getting reports of a bedroom on fire with possible entrapment.
